The Suede Colouring
The Suede is dyed after tanning to obtain the rich colours of the finished garments. Dark colours are likely to transfer to lighter clothing on prolonged contact. To minimise this, we recommend the following procedure: |
| |
| • |
Rub the garment gently with an old towel or piece of flannel in the brushed direction of the suede. Repeat 2 or 3 times until the garment stains only slightly. |
| |
| • |
Spray the suede with a colourless protector to help prevent water and dirt |

Taking care of your suede
Expose to the sunlight affects the colour of suede. Do not leave your garment in the car exposed to the sun.
Preferably use a shaped or wooden coat-hanger to keep the garment in shape.
Suede needs to breathe, so if you are covering your garment, use a cotton bag rather than a plastic cover.
Perspiration can mark and dry the suede. |

Cleaning your suede
Greasiness and make-up stains on collers, cuffs and pockets can be carefully cleaned with a soft brush or leather gum.
We do not recommend dry cleaning as this may discolour and fade garments. If you must dry clean the suede, leave the cleaning of your garment to a professional fry cleaner that specialises in leather and suede. Remember to clean both items of a suit as a slight change of colour will occur.
All care instructions have been tried and tested, however no liability can be taken for any damage that may be caused through the above procedures. |
